Five Points is the proud home of what we consider to be the best bagels and the best coffee in Melbourne. Our consultant chef has designed a tastebud-tantalizing, drool-inducing, tummy-rumbling selection of traditional favourites and ingenious creations. If you’re a traditionalist, try the New Yorker’s favourite, the Reuben (Pastrami, Swiss cheese, Sauerkraut and Russian dressing), or the ever popular Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese. If on the other hand you tend to be a front-runner when it comes to sampling new and exciting offerings, try the Thai Chicken bagel, with hoisin, fresh herbs and spring onion. Or, if you’re after something simple yet delicious, try a Manhattan classic, a bagel with a generous smear of cream cheese.
Whilst you’re here, it would be a terrible shame to miss out on the coffee. We searched far and wide for a coffee we felt would stand on its own, yet compliment both savoury and sweet bagels. In the end, we partnered with Red Star Coffee, a local roaster who sustainably sources from the greatest coffee growing regions of the world and blends the finest qualities in each bean to produce a wonderful body and flavour.
